Call the exorcist.

I didn't think it was possible, but I'm in even more trouble than I was before my 'date' with Bass, and this because he now adores me.

Great. Just great.

Maybe it's my fault. Maybe I shouldn't have let him kiss me. Maybe I should have put even more emphasis on the fact that we're just friends than I already had.

Maybe he shouldn't be such a good kisser, because by the time I had gathered the wits to say something intelligible, he was kissing my throat and commenting that I had the body of a goddess, something that, I wish to stress, has never been told to me by anyone before. But, as he explained in detail why, I can kind of get his point. Whatever. My brains were always more important to me than my body, so I was actually surprised.

Also, he's good with his lips. I can't say I have a lot of references (more like none), but he, I'll admit it, had me liking it.

When he wasn't telling me he respected me and warning me that he'd stop the moment I told him to ("your wishes are my commands"), and when he wasn't asking me which way I liked his kisses better, and when he wasn't telling me that he wanted me to enjoy our making-out to the fullest without considering his own desires, he was teasing. Example:

Bass: "*kissing my throat, hoarsely* Tell me you want this to stop. I dare you."
Me: "*mumbles something unintelligible*"
Bass: "I'm sorry, I didn't quite catch that."
Me: "I said you're going to burn in hell for this. ... Hey, that tickles."
Bass: "It seems fair... What tickles? This?"

And I basically kind of lose track of another half hour of experimenting.

Thankfully, Josie was wrong. He is 19, not 21, or even 23. And he has plenty more experience than me. Which is both worrisome and a blessing, because he had the presence of mind to be patient and respectful rather than horny and desperate, but also that I'm dealing with a guy who probably knows how to manipulate his partners at least a little. Especially naive ones like me.

I told him it wouldn't be a homerun, or even third base. He said he wouldn't have allowed it to be. He was sincere too. He said he respects me as a friend before all...

But that's a lie.

He sent me a mail earlier today. He said he must have left his head at my place because he was so caught up in thinking about me he had missed his bus stop. He said he wanted to be my first everything if I allowed him to be. He basically said I drive him nuts.

He even cancelled a jam session with Slim for the 'date'. When Slim asked him where he was going instead, and Bass said, "I'm going to CM's place," Slim was like, "CM?"

Bass: "Yeah. CM. You know. Your friend."
Slim: "*sceptical*... You're going to her place...?"
Bass: "Yeah."

More troubling is the fact that Bass asked Slim for my email address, but in the end it was PB who gave it to him. So Slim never gave Bass my email, as I had at first thought. So my only possible way of having something against Slim is gone.

Dammit! Everything was going just fine! Now I have a major crush on Slim, but Bass has a major thing for me, and I'm stuck in the middle with ensured heartache either way.

It sucks. Things were way better back in the days of Project Boy and Admin Boy.

I wish I weren't so naive.

I also wish I could have just said I had work and finished a little bit more of OiH instead. It would have saved me so much anguish. And it would have been productive.

And I wouldn't be stuck in this screwed up (I loathe this term) love triangle.

Damn it all.

Love,
CM

P.S. I was right. He did try to stick his hand down my pants. I snapped out of it and told him to slow down a little, please? Slim wouldn't have done this, I'm pretty sure.
P.P.S. I think Bass is going to catch my cold.

Not related to fanfiction!

Do not read if you hate reading/hearing people talking about their day (and feeling happy for themselves). Again, please keep in mind all the names used in this post are fictional.

START OF STORY-TELLING (Skip ahead for general info.)\

Upon coming into the cafeteria, I am greeted by the sight of plenty of people I know, including but not limited to Kitty, Josie, Eva and their respective friends Gen and Nick. Project Boy is there too. He alleviates my worries concerning a writing assignment. THANK YOU, PROJECT BOY!

I talk with them for a while, but then, who do I see to the left? Admin Boy and one of his (drastically less handsome) friends? Should I go talk to them, or will they think of me as a freak? Hm... questions, questions. Eva insists I should go. I am unsure. I don't want to look pushy, or anything...

Damn, Admin Boy and his friend have vanished. I missed my chance for today. Plus, almost everyone else is leaving for their classes, meaning I'm left with Project Boy, who is busy discussing the danger of eating a hot-dog with a funny guy called "Phil". He is quickly coming to the conclusion that hot-dogs from the Caravan are more damaging to one's longevity than hot-dogs from the Station. This leads to the decision that he and Phil should walk over to the Station and purchase hot-dogs.

They abandon me, since I didn't feel like having hot-dogs and since "Slim", (a very cool guy who regularly hangs out with Project Boy and I, and who could easily rival with PB if he were in any of my classes), isn't appearing and they need someone to stay on the lookout for him.

Lo and behold, who returns? Admin Boy and his friend? Enough hesitation, I will intrude upon their conversation and make my existence known. If they don't want me around, I'll be sure to notice and leave as gracefully as possible.

Hello, Admin Boy. Don't you look gorgeous today. And hello, friend of Admin Boy. You are certainly less interesting than your much slimmer, sexier, smarter and cuter friend. But I will accept you and speak to you just as much because you are his friend and therefore must have other qualities.

Admin Boy seems glad to see me. That's nice to know. His friend too seems glad, though probably because, since they both come from an all-boys school, I found out, he is unaccustomed to girls of his age. Maybe he's a little too glad, actually.

I discover Admin Boy was in olden days a soccer player (which explains his sexy build), but that for now he is mostly busy studying. So responsible...!

I inquire about his pasttimes. This leads to a completely unrelated conversation about hang-gliders, parachutes, and also a conversation about heads plugs from the Matrix. Still, I press to find out if indeed he is a gamer. I find out his friend owns an XBox (BLASPHEMY) but that Admin Boy owns the three consoles, and that he is interested in purchasing the Wii over the 360. Sensible boy.

Apparently, Admin Boy has three brothers and sisters, of which he is the eldest.

Admin Boy's friend has no computer. Sad. Admin Boy himself, however, owns as many computers as I do (four, that is). This must mean something.

I am getting tired of trying to make a decent conversation flow. It seems like Admin Boy is a lot quieter than his friend who, while certainly very talkative, is also very boring. If only he would go so that Admin Boy could actually get involved in this conversation...

Rescue comes in the form of Project Boy and Slim (PB must have found him), who have returned to the cafeteria. Slim, glad to have somewhere to hang out, sits on my other side, while Project Boy sits across from him, in front of me. I receive glares from girls all around. What can I say? I choose my friends. They just happen to be smart, cute, and funny. And anyway, give me a break. This is a victory for us nerdy gaming girls.

Slim enthusiastically entertains a lot of the conversation with Admin Boy and his friend. I am very grateful, because I was running out of steam. Plus, Project Boy's interjections are hilarious. Unfortunately, it's difficult to have a decent conversation with Admin Boy in these conditions, and after some time, he glances at his watch and looks up apologetically. He says he has to go to his Politics class. He has a test and can't afford to be late. I smile, a bit relieved because that means his annoying friend is leaving too.

Notably, Admin Boy has a nice backside.

Once both Admin Boy and his friend are gone, Slim raises his brows at me and says, "So, who were those guys?"

I shrug. "I spoke to them for real for the first time today."

Project Boy, not looking jealous in any way, snidely comments, "So you're collecting boyfriends, huh?"

I make a face at him, because I am reconsidering Admin Boy. If he comes with the talking-annoying-friend attachment, I think I might just stick to PB and Slim.

And Alex, too, who just sat across from me as well, next to Project Boy. Alex is a tall, lanky guy with a good face and a peculiar view on things. Though he doesn't respect many people, he and I are actually rather good acquaintances.

He leans forward towards me now and whispers, "It's my birthday today, you know."

I raise a brow. "Really?"

He nods. "Yep. Kitty text-messaged me during Chem. And Mia at seven thirty this morning."

I smile and outstretch my hand. "Huh. Happy birthday, then." He takes my hand with a smile. "You're saying the truth, right?"

"Yes," he assures me, and I see he isn't lying.

Slim leans forward. "What's going on?" He was busy talking with PB about something or other.

Alex goes, "It's my birthday."

Slim, suspiciously, says, "Happy b-day, then."

Alex: "Why does no one believe me?"

PB: "You seem like the kind who'd invent himself a birthday."

I glance at my watch. "Hey, guys, we have to head upstairs now."

Alex stands. I call him back and give him a hug. I didn't have a card or anything, so I figured it was the least I could do. Especially since hardly anybody remembered it or wished him a good one. Poor Alex.

That's when I notice that Project Boy and Slim were kind enough to wait for me. I thought until then that they just let me tag along and didn't care much, but to see them wait for me really made me feel good. And for the first time since I've been hanging out with them, I feel like they care and aren't just humouring me because we come from the same school.

Slim didn't have any classes until four, so he had nothing better to do than come into French with us. Actually, today's class wasn't even a class. It was a come-get-the-teacher's-approval-for-your-writing-assignment-plan-then-scram sort of class. The idea, as PB announced it, was to be out of there within half an hour.

My attendance leads to another inner victory for me. In that class is a guy whom I used to know. He was the king of my elementary school, and considered by many as the cutest guy there. "Greg", now a lot less cute than he used to be, looks up when I come in. I'd made it my policy to ignore him for two reasons: 1. he'd made fun of me back then (I had a lot of baby fat which melted four years ago) and 2. if he didn't want to talk to me, I hardly see why I'd grovel for his attention. In the good ole days, I was a pudgy know-it-all, so obviously he'd disdain me. It was uncool, back then, to be smart.

I come into the class, hardly glancing at him. Slim, meanwhile, waits outside because our teacher didn't want unknown faces in his class. Project Boy and I, feeling bad for Slim, put our names on the appointment list, take out our assignment plans, and prepare to exit the room.

That's when Greg comes forward. "Hey, CM, can I see your plan for a sec?"

I hand it to him, noticing that he remembers my name. Score one for the nerd.

He hardly glances at it, then hands it back. "Okay, thanks. I just wanted to check something." He goes back to his spot. I turn to follow PB out when Greg suddenly asks, "Do you remember me?"

I smile to myself. Score two for the nerd. I say, "Yeah, I remember you. I was wondering who would break in first."

He smiles, clearly embarrassed. I know he's noticing that I'm not that pudgy and ugly anymore. Score three for the nerd. I smile back at him politely, and then walk out of the class to wait with Slim and Project Boy, who look at me with extreme amusement.

"So guys chat you up and you turn them down?" Slim comments.

I laugh. I think the nerd won the battle against the big boss. "Nope. But I think he's gonna think twice before humiliating nerds again."

Project Boy rolls his eyes. "I have no clue what you're talking about and yet I'm sure it's a juicy story."

So PB, Slim and I stayed for half an hour in the hallway to talk. Project Boy and I got our plan approvals, then grabbed our bags and left (please note Greg was still busy trying to rework his own plan at this point).

Slim took his bike and accompanied Project Boy to his bus stop, then followed me over to mine. From the other side of the street, that is. That is so Slim. He said it was too much trouble since we'd be splitting up anyway once he continued on his way home. Still, he would slow down on the other sidewalk to let my walking pace catch up with his bike's, so that by the time I reached my bus stop, five minutes later, he was still level with me and could answer me back when I said, "See you tomorrow."

Even if things don't turn romantic (because, come on, let's face it, it's just a funny sort of friendship), I'm pretty darn lucky that I got those guys to share a similar schedule with. I could have gotten crappy people, but instead, I got Slim and Project Boy.

\END OF STORY-TELLING. (You can stop scrolling now.)

I know a lot of people are like, 'stop pissing us off with your life stories', but guess what? I LOVE MY LIFE. You should love yours. And if you don't, make it worthwhile, like I did. It's not like you can't find your own Project/Admin Boys or anything. They exist. I'm the proof of that.

And tomorrow, I will have Video Tech, which will be great too. Don't worry, though. Unless something really scandalous happens, you'll be spared of that joyous episode.

And now, back to chapter 19 (which, no, I still haven't finished).

Love,
CM

Cause for anguish.

No, I have not suffered a nearly fatal injury to the wrists which might render me unable to type the smallest word (proof being that you are reading this).

I just have been procrastinating a lot, that's all.

Okay, not completely. I have been writing quite a bit in my "boring subjects" notebook, to make it the "not-so-boring subjects" notebook.

See, I only have two notebooks for college, each seperated into coloured sections (purty stuff). One of them is a wacko alien-themed notebook. This is my "fun subjects" notebook, in which one can find fun stuff like... Video Tech, Publicity, and other fun subjects which do not come to mind at the moment. (Please note this does not include Philosophy.) In my other notebook, boring subjects are held, enhanced by a neutral yet stylish black cover with thin white stripes. These "boring" subjects include French and Philosophy.

Because you can excel at something and dislike it anyway.

In this "boring subjects" notebook, I had a free section, because there were more fun subjects than boring subjects --thank goodness. (I need the boredom factor to remember in which notebook my notes are, and also to rejoice or brace myself for whichever is coming up.) In this free section, I allocate nice green bordered pages to write more of Only in Hyrule.

I would like to say that this system has helped me put an end to the ever-ongoing chapter 19, but it has not.

Because I OBVIOUSLY have to focus on other things, like how Project Boy is making himself more attractive, and how Admin Boy is also a gamer. (Help.)

Alright, alright. Those are impossibly fickle things.

... OH GOD, I'M FICKLE!

IS IT MY FAULT ANYWAY? One minute, Project Boy is there, radiating sexy vibes all over the place, and the next, I find out that Admin Boy MIGHT BE A GAMER, which would be like, the ultimate awesome combination. A studly studying gamer! What more could you ask for??

All these circumstances, along with my inability to cope with the sudden wave of cute boys, have distracted me beyond my control, okay?

Also, it seems a couple of guy friends are gonna be purchasing Wiis, like me. And if those guys purchase a certain console, it's that they KNOW. Know, as in, 'this console will be worth my time'. These guys are, like, gaming wizards (or Wii-zards, depending on how far you want to take the pun).

So. Between drooling fits, social lunches, classes, projects, and plotting to overthrow the world with the Wii-zards, can one really blame me for being excessively slow in writing? Here's a hint: probably not.

I do intend to keep writing, of course. But that would require less school projects (and less fun distractions, to which I am, predictably, getting addicted).

I mean, hi, PROJECT BOY AND ADMIN BOY. You're both keeping me from doing what would probably be more rewarding and emancipating than pining after either of you. Shame, boys! Shame! Now, because of you, I am leaving many online readers in anguish and annoyance (even though they're not up to chapter 19 yet). I wish only that you will cease tantalizing me with your superb amazingness. And stop wearing those cumbersome shirts. They impede my thought pattern.

Wait. That's a good thing. Damn.

Laugh all you want, everyone. Just you wait until you're in a similar situation. Then you'll see what sort of a handicap good-looking people pose on us procrastinators.

Love,
CM

Slice of life (or, More Personal Drama)

Note: All the names used in the following post are completely fictional!

You know that cute guy I told you was at the welcoming ceremony of my college?http://crazygurlmadness.blogspot.com/2006/08/evening-all-keels-over.html

The cute blonde bespectacled one I wanted to share my locker with?

Well, he was in the cafeteria today, studying alone, in the sunlight streaming from the large windows, in a corner, all alone at a table, looking like a serious, calm, godsend.

Which he is, but I think I've covered that already.

I come into the cafeteria with a guy friend and meet up with plenty of people I know since high school, and I sit at the end of the table and I notice...

DUNDUNDUN. Admin Guy. Across the room.

No, he's not Project Boy (Hah, I wish), but droooooool...

I interrupt a friend's speech ("Eva") on something or other (frankly, nothing registered because, HELLO, ADMIN BOY!), and I say, "That guy in the corner is hot."

Eva hardly misses a beat. She says, "I know. I totally spotted him."

"Kitty" turns around (she was at another table talking to "Josie"), and asks, "Who's hot?"

Eva says, "The guy in the corner. The one who's studying and looking studly."

Kitty glances at him. She grimaces. "Oh, come on. He's nothing special."

Me: "Are you kidding? That guy is sin rolled into sex rolled into hotness!"

A couple of the people around turn to look at me in a disturbed fashion.

Me: "Well, what? It's true."

Josie: "Wait. *to Eva* She's talking about the guy in the corner?"

Eva: "Yeah. He's cute, huh?"

Josie: "Yeah, I guess."

Me: "It's okay, infidels. I know I have taste."

Eva stares wistfully at Admin Boy as he keeps studying, unawares. "Too bad he's no acquaintance of ours."

Me: "Yeah, seriously..."

There's a long pause in the conversation.

Me: "How much do you pay me if I go talk to him?"

Eva: *laughs it off* "Excuse me, he's mine."

Me: "Oh, come on. I saw him first!"

Eva: "What do you mean you saw him first, I saw him--"

Me: "At the opening thing, I saw him. Hah!"

Eva: "Well, whatever. Fine. Bitch."

Kitty says, "You won't have the guts."

Me: "Wanna bet?"

Before they can answer, I stand up and head straight towards Admin Boy. All along, I'm thinking, what am I gonna ask him? How the heck am I going to strike up a conversation??

I stop next to him (hotness!), and I ask, with a smile, "Sorry. Is your name "Adam"?"

Okay, that may sound random, but he reminded me of a kid I used to know.

He looks up. OMG. GORGEOUS BESPECTACLED EYES. "Hm? Oh, yeah, it is." He's smiling. He gets a dimple when he smiles.

I cannot believe, meanwhile, the uncanny guess. "Really?? What's your last name??" I wish against wish that he is THE Adam, the first kid to make me laugh out of my wits in elementary school.

No such luck. He is not. Still, I will not let this hunk escape.

"Oh, that's a pity," I say, sitting in the chair next to him. "You look a lot like a kid I used to know in elementary school."

He shakes his head and smiles apologetically. "Sorry, it wasn't me."

I laugh. "That's okay. So whatcha doing?"

He looks down at his notes. "Studying French."

I raise a brow. "Are you any good at it, so that we can at least have something in common?"

He laughs. "I'm not bad at all."

I grin, and think that he could possibly be my soulmate (I was charmed, gimme a break). "That's great! What program are you in?"

I, of course, know the answer to this. But, hello, his dimples and gorgeous smile made me forget, so like a ditz, I actually asked.

"Administration," he says.

"Oh," I remember now. "Yeah. I saw you at the welcoming ceremony. When they told us Libs to get up, you didn't, right?"

He laughs, clearly amused. "Right."

He's the kind who looks straight into your eyes when you're speaking to him. With those gorgeous blue eyes, and he's looking actually focused only on me then.

He is so hot. I can't even meet his gaze, most of the time. Actually, I'm starting to get extremely embarrassed because I never did this before. Strike up a conversation with a totally hot loner/nerdy/sexy stranger, I mean.
At least I'm still smiling pleasantly.

"Um," I say, running out of steam, "look. I came to talk to you because I saw you and you look really cute. But you really do look like an Adam!" I hurry to add. "You have an Adam face, I mean."

I KNOW! I JUST WRECKED THE BASIC RULES!!! I'M AN IDIOT! MY OWN MOM screamed at me that I totally broke the rules when she heard!

He looks vaguely surprised, but doesn't lose his smile. Oh well, might as well go with it.

"So, um," I say, probably red beyond red but still smiling (because I'm overloading with happy), "I'm CM." I outstretch my hand. "Hello."

He takes my hand. His touch was gentle but firm at once. I don't know how to describe it. It was pleasant. Not like, 'I'm shaking this person's hand because I must', you know?

"Hello," he says.

I say, "I know that's weird, but I still expect us to greet each other from now on if we ever see each other."

He chuckles. "Okay."

"Really. Don't make me threaten you," I joke.

"Okay," he repeats.

We exchange a last smile, and then I say, "Well, then, see you around, okay?"

"Okay, see you," he says, still smiling.

I stand, and walk back to my table with as much dignity as possible.

I am greeted with stunned silence upon my return.

Eva sums up: "You are my new idol."

I know. I am so awesome. I feel totally emancipated, in a WHAT-THE-FUCK-WAS-I-THINKING-I-AM-SUCH-A-MORON-I-NEED-SELF-FLAGELLATION-QUICK sort of way.

At least I can plead stupidity.

Or I can greet him next time I see him. Maybe invite him to lunch with the gang.

But... HOT ADMIN BOY. *SQUEEE*

I love college.

Still writing chapter 19 of OiH.

Love,
CM

P.S. I STILL HEART YOU, PROJECT BOY! (Even though you don't know I mention your existence online. If you found out, you'd probably be scared out of your wits.) But you have to let me say Admin Guy is off charts in chick flick hotness and eligibility.

P.P.S. Besides, Project Boy, it's not like you're ever going to see me as more than that crazy girl you team up with for projects, so I gotta keep my horizons open.

P.P.P.S. WHY MUST ALL BOYS BE SO CUTE AND NICE AND FUN AND AAAAARRRGGGH!!!
